I talk to myself a lot—or as I prefer to call it, thinking out loud. I have often cut short serious conversations with myself after noticing people stare awkwardly. Like I’m on drugs or running mad.
But this is genetic and I’ve also seen it with my old man and brother.
It’s distinctive with every one of us. With father it’s more of scholarly ideas popping in spontaneously. He’ll murmur something about Markov chain or Stochastic process.
With Sedi, it’s a series of past and future events playing through his mind. Like a movie director casting scripts for his play.
Mine is a whole different kind. We are two, and like any couple, we bicker, we argue, and at rare occasions, we are fully in sync. A Jekyll & Hyde kind of relationship.
I can be hard on me, at times, but it’s the only way we’ll get better.
Yesterday, we were to clean our room, write two full articles and watch ONLY 2 episodes. We ended up watching the whole series. Guess I wasn’t stern enough.
