It just dawned on me, that God has a wife… or fiancée or girlfriend—a female figure in a matrimonial setting. It’s an absurd thought, blasphemous to some extent. I know. I have suppositions to back my theory.
One, we are created in the image and LIKENESS of God. Oxford definition of likeness: resemblance, in outward appearance. So, it’s only fair to think that God has a reproductive system of some sort.
Two, God has emotions. He is a jealous God. He occasionally gets angry with the Israelites. He is happy with David and Abraham, and He finds favor with Mary. He abhors women who wear men’s clothing and in Psalms, He is brokenhearted.
Which brings me to my third point, I’m skeptical to think that God would create emotions that He Himself doesn’t go through. Love, antagonism, conflict, euphoria, heartbreak, marriage and finally, sexual desires.
So heavenly mother, if you’re up there, I acknowledge your presence.
